Born in 1959 in Yerevan, Armenia Education: 1983-1990 studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas, Faculty of vocal theory. Work Experience: From 1983 worked at the Armenian State Gusan and Folk music ensemble as soloist. From 1990 worked as soloist at the Armenian Song and Dance State ensemble after Tatul Altunyan. 1996-2016 Sejran worked at the Yerevan State Chamber Choir as soloist. Our beloved friend and colleague passed away in July 2016 but his soul lives on in hearts and minds of all Choir singers and everyone who knew him. Rest in peace dear Sejran…

Her early love and passion for music and classical singing started while she was at music school after Alexander Heqimyan 1990-1997 where she was studying in the piano class. Later on, in 1998-2005 Jenny studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas in the class of classical singing under supervision of Prof. Nona Melkumova.
During university years, Jenny started singing at different choirs, gaining experience in various genres including classical, folk, jazz music etc.

1987- 1989 she studied in the vocal department of the State Musical College named after Romanos Melikyan.
Makrouhi continued the study in the vocal department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory under the professor Marianna Haroutyunyan and graduated from it in 1996.
Since 1990, Makrouhi performed as a soloist in St. Sargis, St.Zoravar, Oshakan St.Mesrop Mashtots, St. G. Narekatsi Armenian Catholic churches. Since 2005, she is also a soloist of “Oshakan” vocal-instrumental ensemble.
